Yes, you may accomplish the same factor with the East Beast since
it has most of the identical randomization instruments (save
the release mod), and it’s most likely the extra versatile
instrument, but I find the results on the West Pest more pleasing.
It’s an analogous story with the sequencer and arpeggiator.
The arpeggiator solely has two modes - as performed and random.
The oscillator has sine, triangle, noticed and sq. waves, and you may mix two of them to ship
thicker, more distinctive sounds when wanted. This can be an extra
LFO, envelope, random generator or MIDI-to-CV output.
Now, that both of these act as a MIDI to CV interface is extremely helpful,
and might simplify controlling other gear that isn’t MIDI compatible.
The 20-point patchbay makes it easy to integrate into a bigger Eurorack (or compatible) setup -
whether or not these are your gateway drug or just the latest
symptom of your incurable Gasoline (gear acquisition syndrome). -
